Her Interview
Ten minutes with Naomi
01What do you attribute your success to?
I think the biggest thing is mostly just what where I want to see myself, and how I want to make my mark on the industry. I've always been wondering what I wanted to do, and then I started to really think about what I wanted my life to be, and where I see myself, and manifestation, and things like that, so the biggest thing that pushes me is where I want my future me to go, and I want my future self to thank me for doing projects and really putting myself out there.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I'd say the best advice I have is to accept any role that you feel would fit your values. This is where you're the trajectory of your career, and don't be afraid to go out of the box, or to reach out to people that you think that they wouldn't want to hear from you, things like that. Always take the opportunity you're passionate about, and good things will come. Never be afraid to really put yourself out there.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in fashion and social media, in general, is that social media is currently split into 2 areas: strategy and creative. With someone who has experience in strategy, it's tricky to transition into the creative side of social media. I am still working on creative projects, freelancing, and trying to get into the more creative sides of social media 5 years into my career.
