Naomi Maxon is a senior account manager at Caterpillar in the mining manufacturing industry. She has 5 years of experience in her current field after transitioning from prior roles at U.S. Air Force organizations, including the 355th Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, as well as at Intuit and Cogent Communications. Her background encompasses project management, sales leadership, program management, security, compliance, and records management, with experience managing teams and high-volume operations. Maxon is the subject matter expert for underground mining fleets and specializes in negotiation and influential conversations, navigating discussions from site superintendents to C-level executives. She holds project management certifications and has taken classes in public speaking. Maxon earned degrees from Grand Canyon University and Maryville University. She speaks Spanish and has received honors including highest performer and best quarterly performer awards from the MPF 355th Squadron, along with top performer leadership skills and mentoring awards.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Listen to listen and learn, don't listen to response. Advocate for yourself. Network. Admit when you don't know something and ask for help.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Cyclical nature of mining industry. Politics, tariffs, global government changes, protests, government contracts conflicts.
