What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to curiosity, disciplined growth, and people. I’ve always approached my career with a sense of wonder—continually learning, building new skills, and taking on challenges slightly beyond my comfort zone. As responsibilities grew, so did my commitment to developing strong leadership skills to solve bigger, more complex problems. Most importantly, I believe deeply in the power of teams. When talented people are aligned around a shared purpose, the results are far greater than what any individual can achieve alone.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received came from my mom: always build toward the next level. She encouraged me to pursue roles and opportunities that stretched my skills, pushed me to grow, and surrounded me with good people—whether through work or professional organizations. That mindset taught me to stay intentional about growth rather than waiting to be “ready”.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be intentional about where you start. Look for roles and leaders who will invest in your growth, and give yourself time to truly build skills before moving on. Ask for help, seek mentors, and stay curious—learning is your unfair advantage.
Focus on work that actually matters, not just what’s loud or urgent. Set healthy boundaries, know your values, and trust your instincts—especially about people. Self-awareness, collaboration, and integrity will take you further than any title ever will.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
AI is rapidly transforming how software is built, integrated, and used. The real opportunity lies in pairing intelligent systems with strong human leadership—where emotional intelligence, ethics, and decision-making remain essential differentiators.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty and integrity are foundational to how I live and lead. I believe in telling the truth as I see it—even when it’s uncomfortable—while approaching others with empathy and respect. Integrity, to me, means doing what you say you’ll do, leading with heart, and following through consistently. It’s not about overcommitting; it’s about committing intentionally—to people, work, and the future you’re building—and showing up fully every time.
