What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to persistence, resilience, and a relentless commitment to mastering my craft. By building deep industry knowledge, I have been able to break barriers, navigate complex negotiations, and identify opportunities across global markets—remaining fully committed to excellence while navigating personal challenges along the way.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I credit much of my professional development to two mentors who believed in me early on and gave me the opportunity to excel. They led by example, each with a distinct and complementary leadership style. One brought a long-term, strategic perspective, with a rare ability to anticipate market and industry shifts. The other embodied a results-driven, short-term execution mindset, focused on delivering outcomes and achieving goals efficiently. Both shared a defining trait: a constant investment in knowledge, regardless of how successful they had already become. Their commitment to learning left a lasting impact on my leadership approach.
My greatest inspiration in life is my grandfather, who taught me the importance of respecting others and the enduring value of one’s name. He instilled in me the belief that while circumstances, titles, and assets may come and go, reputation endures. Guided by this principle, I approach every decision with the understanding that life is cyclical—and integrity is non-negotiable.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to remain persistent, resilient, and committed to lifelong learning. I emphasize the importance of allowing yourself to feel setbacks, recover from them, and return stronger—while remembering that neither gender nor illness should define or limit ambition.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Beyond tariffs, the biggest challenge in global trade right now is market slowdown driven by global instability. Ongoing uncertainty—whether economic, geopolitical, or logistical—has reduced confidence, delayed purchasing decisions, and pushed companies to manage inventories and capital more conservatively. As a result, trade volumes are softer and planning cycles are shorter.
At the same time, this environment is creating opportunity. Businesses that focus on supply-chain resilience, diversified sourcing, financial discipline, and reliable execution are gaining an edge. Buyers are prioritizing stability and long-term partnerships over short-term pricing. In today’s market, adaptability and consistency matter more than speed, and companies that operate with this mindset are positioning themselves to outperform when conditions stabilize.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are persistence, resilience, continuous learning, and building strong relationships, both professionally and personally. I believe growth comes from staying committed through challenges, remaining open to learning, and investing in people over time.
Outside of work, I make space for balance—whether through traveling, reading, watching movies, or spending time with my family, dog Ben and close friends—which helps me stay grounded and focused.
