Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of formal education, technical training, and continuous self-learning. Earning my BA in Economics provided a strong analytical foundation, while my Associate degree in IT equipped me with essential technical skills. Beyond that, I’ve invested in ongoing learning—particularly in Power BI and data visualization—which has helped me distinguish myself and advance in roles, including my work at MARTA.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice would be, be clear where you want to go, and where you want to be, and create a plan to work towards it, and stay focused. I like to lead with passion and purpose, so I also bring that to my work.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I would say I would want to have more time to concentrate on work. Sometimes life and work imbalance can be a thing. I wish I could put in more hours at work, because there's so much going on. Right now, my main challenge is just having time. It's hard to network these days because life has gotten so busy.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I definitely lead with passion and purpose in both my personal and professional life. That's something I bring to my work every day. I believe in being clear about where you want to go and creating a plan to work towards it while staying focused on your goals.
