About Natalia
She is a dedicated gerontology advocate, educator, and project developer with a strong commitment to enhancing the lives of older adults through cognitive engagement, intergenerational connection, and community-based programming. Currently serving as Project Developer for Bricks for Better Brains©, she created, developed, and tested a cognitive activity intervention for older people, conducting 200 hours of field research. She also served as Project Developer for an Intergenerational Age Café through Portland Community College's Gerontology Program, where she advocated for the creation of intergenerational relationships and implemented a successful pilot project at Viva Village. Prior to this, she spent 14 years as an Educator at Davis Road Homeschool Academy, where she instructed, collaborated with educational institutions, evaluated performance, and ensured state standards were met. Her earlier career includes over four years at Sea-Land Service International, Ltd. in Moscow, Russia, where she coordinated ocean freight and inland trucking and provided English-Russian translation, and as a Customer Service Specialist at Nering, Inc. She holds an Associate of Applied Science in Gerontology Advocacy and Gerontology Activity Professional Certificates from Portland Community College, and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technologies. She is recognized as a compassionate, innovative, and interdisciplinary professional who bridges science, education, and community engagement to create meaningful impact across generations.
