Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the support and foundation of my family; my parents who shaped who I am, and my husband and children, who support and inspire me every day. My parents instilled in me resilience, the value of hard work, and the confidence to believe in myself even in uncertain moments. Today, my husband and children keep me grounded and remind me why growth and perseverance matter. Together, they've shaped how I show up. With resilience, perspective, and a deep sense of purpose.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received came from a good friend at Special Olympics Maryland, who told me to be like a duck on water. Calm and composed on the surface while paddling steadily beneath to keep going. Even when the water is unpredictable, a duck remains balanced and in control. That advice taught me the importance of maintaining a steady presence, especially in fast paced or high pressure environments where others look to you for stability. Behind the scenes, it reinforced the value of preparation, organization, adaptability, and doing the work others may not see. It's shaped how I lead; remaining calm and focused while navigating complexity and ensuring those around me feel confident and supported.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Believe in your abilities and don't be afraid to advocate for yourself. Your perspective is valuable, even early in your career. Stay curious, build meaningful relationships, and seek out opportunities that challenge and grow you. Not every room will feel comfortable at first, but confidence comes with experience and consistency. Trust yourself, continue learning, and know that your voice and contributions have the power to make a lasting impact.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

While sports has traditionally been a male-dominated industry, one of the biggest opportunities right now is the growing presence and influence of women across all areas of the business. Organizations are increasingly recognizing the value of diverse perspectives, which is driving stronger leadership, innovation, and more inclusive cultures. This shift is creating meaningful opportunities to shape the future of the industry and open doors for the next generation of women who aspire to be part of it.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me, both at work and in life, are loyalty, integrity, and honesty, because they form the foundation of trust in every relationship. I also prioritize accountability and resilience, taking ownership of my responsibilities and embracing challenges as opportunities to grow. Together, these values shape how I show up, build meaningful connections, and navigate both professional and personal experiences with purpose and consistency.
