Her Interview

Ten minutes with Natalia

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a lot of luck, finding people that were willing to take a chance on me, being at the right place at the right time, and seizing the opportunities when they're given to me.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I received two key pieces of advice. From my father: do a blessing in every room you walk into. From my old boss at Amazon: you only get one chance to make a first impression. In my people-focused field, it comes down to serving others and earning trust quickly.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Never be scared to talk to somebody, ask questions, try something you've never tried, and surround yourself with people that are smarter than you. There is always more to learn. Early in your career, you're getting paid to learn, so take advantage of that.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

People are obsessed with artificial intelligence taking roles and tasks. The challenge is finding a way to continually be useful and bring value. Utilize AI in our roles while remaining personally valuable.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Be a blessing everywhere I go. Be somebody people can turn to for help, guidance, or optimism. Remain optimistic, always try, and fail quickly if you're going to fail, then try again.
