Natalie Contorno, PMP, RSSA®, LTCP™, CF2®
Natalie Contorno, PMP, RSSA®, LTCP™, CF2® is a Health and Retirement Insurance Strategist and Founder of Alpha Lee Insurance based in Houston, Texas. With eight years of experience in insurance and finance, she launched her own firm last year with a clear mission to provide individuals and families with comprehensive, client-centered retirement guidance. Natalie specializes in health insurance, including traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage planning, helping clients confidently navigate the complexities of coverage as they transition into retirement. What distinguishes Natalie’s approach is her holistic view of retirement planning. In addition to health insurance solutions, she provides strategic guidance on Social Security optimization as a Registered Social Security Analyst and addresses long-term care planning as a Long-Term Care Professional. By educating clients on what Medicare covers and, equally important, what it does not cover, she ensures they enter retirement with clarity and complete peace of mind. As a Certified Financial Fiduciary, Natalie is committed to always acting in her clients’ best interests, delivering transparent recommendations grounded in integrity and long-term strategy. Natalie’s professional path is deeply rooted in her lifelong passion for health and wellness. From an early age, she was drawn to fitness and preventive care, which later aligned naturally with her work in insurance. She recognized the powerful connection between community health initiatives, wellness education, and financial protection. Today, she integrates that foundation into her practice, emphasizing preventive care, annual wellness exams, and proactive planning as essential components of a secure retirement. Through disciplined leadership, education, and service, Natalie empowers pre-retirees and retirees to make informed decisions that protect both their health and their financial future.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the strong foundation I was raised on and the values that continue to guide me. Growing up in a family that emphasized hard work, integrity, and perseverance instilled in me a deep sense of purpose and determination. Those early lessons have remained central as I’ve built my own path. I’m also fortunate to have a supportive partner whose encouragement and perspective help me stay focused and balanced through every challenge. Together, these experiences have shaped not only my professional journey but also the confidence and resilience that drive me forward each day.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was to be a leader, not a follower. That mindset has shaped how I approach both opportunities and challenges. I’ve also carried with me the idea that there’s a lesson to be learned every single day, and that staying clear of negativity helps maintain focus and clarity. Those simple but meaningful principles have become core to how I lead, learn, and grow in my career.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
There’s definitely a lot to learn in this field, and at times it can feel overwhelming. There are certifications, designations, ongoing training, and compliance requirements that keep you constantly learning. But the truth is, the best education comes from real experience — when you’re out in the field working directly with clients. That’s where everything you’ve studied comes to life. No two clients have the same needs or circumstances, and that’s what makes the work so meaningful. You learn to listen, adapt, and find solutions that truly help people. Preparation matters, of course, but you also have to trust the process and be open to learning as you go. Every client interaction teaches you something new.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges and opportunities in my field really come from the same place: rapid change and increasing complexity.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me, both personally and professionally, are honesty, integrity, and leadership. Being true to my word and building relationships grounded in trust are at the core of who I am. I believe in leading with purpose, staying focused, and maintaining a positive mindset even in challenging situations. Every day presents an opportunity to learn and grow, and I try to approach each experience with openness and accountability. These values guide not only how I work with clients and colleagues but also how I carry myself in all areas of life.
