She emphasizes values of integrity, truth-telling, kindness, and compassion in both her professional and personal life, and advises young women entering the industry to become comfortable with discomfort, adapt to rapid cultural shifts, and trust their unique instincts and perspectives.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Natalie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would attribute my success to my family being open to me moving to Los Angeles from Ireland when I was young. They trusted that I would be okay because I'm trustworthy. Then my own commitment to myself and never taking my eye off of what's ahead of me. Along the way, being blessed to meet people who believed in me and would walk next to me along that path or give me opportunities. I really leaned in heavy to my spirituality.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to them would be to get really comfortable with being uncomfortable, having to maneuver and pivot and adapt every single day because culture shifts at such a pace now. Be very comfortable having to adapt, and not internalize any of it. Trust your instincts because you have something to offer, a perspective, your own entire viewpoint of the world that is completely unique to you.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity and telling the truth no matter how it's going to affect me. Being a good, kind, compassionate person. Because of my absolute reverence for the God that I serve, the values I stand on are the principles of integrity and telling the truth.
