Her Story

About Natalie

My career started with a desire to pursue academia and wildlife conservation, pivoted to nonprofit space for sustainability impact. I pursued an MBA to solve bigger challenges and joined corporate America at a company with strong sustainability values. Now I lead global innovation projects in B2B marketing for chemical manufacturing, creating solutions for food and beverage customers to bring products safely to the world with positive environmental impact. Recently I launched Accelerate Enzymatic CIP, a groundbreaking product transitioning customers from harsh caustic cleaners to one with greater environmental benefits like water reduction and energy savings.

Ten minutes with Natalie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to an inner sense of resolvement and curiosity. I rarely experience imposter syndrome and instead sit with problems I don't understand, staying curious to figure them out using available tools or finding new ones. This has helped me pivot from nonprofit to corporate and take on groundbreaking projects.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The importance of nonprofit board service as a way to give back to the community while learning things that can be applied to your own career.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Stay curious about the end user, whether a B2B customer or consumer, because ultimately that's who we're serving. Design for them and remember what the customer is looking for to solve their challenges.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is limited resources and complex global supply chains. The opportunity for marketers is to innovate with less while delivering value, finding solutions that meet reality with what people desire responsibly.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Transparency is key for hard conversations and encouraging great work. I also value an innovation mindset with curiosity and openness to what's possible. Stewardship for the environment is important personally and cascades into my career choices.
