Her Story
About Natalie
Natalie Rowe founded Ask LLC in 2013 and has since specialized in project management and development for small to medium-sized businesses and local municipalities. Her firm assists clients in streamlining operational systems and developing and managing new programs. Rowe earned her bachelor's degree in Exceptional Student Education from NOVA Southeastern University in 2010 and her master's degree in nonprofit leadership, then known as human service organization leadership, from the same institution in 2013. Prior to launching her consulting practice, she held several administrative positions in the nonprofit sector, including director of administration at a local church in Miami, business manager at another church, lead administrator for a small nonprofit out-of-school program, and executive secretary to a medical officer at a federally qualified health center in South Florida. She is preparing to expand Ask LLC's offerings to include fractional chief operating officer services tailored to mental health practices. Rowe credits her professional success primarily to her faith and her openness to trying new approaches, and she draws on personal values of integrity and resilience, which she demonstrated while earning her degrees while working full-time and raising young children. The best career advice she received, from her father, is to break overwhelming tasks into small, manageable pieces.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Natalie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success first and foremost to my faith. I believe that as I live a life where I strive to please God in all that I do, He will continue to open doors for me. And after that, it's my willingness to try different things. I'm like, well, let's try it and see what happens. Not being afraid to try new and different things opens up opportunities.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I received was from my father. It's to break things down. When things seem overwhelming, don't look at the whole picture, just break them down into small, manageable pieces, and focus on that piece. As you focus on that first piece, it'll take you to the next piece, and eventually you'll accomplish everything.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell them to be tenacious. To not be afraid. Even when you are afraid, don't let that fear stop you. Continue to try. Continue to go forward. Try to get a mentor, and not necessarily just one. Have multiple mentors where possible. And don't be afraid to ask questions.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Technology has changed so much that many businesses who relied on virtual assistants don't necessarily need them anymore because a lot of those things can be done through AI and through automation. The opportunity and the challenge is how do you reinvent yourself? How do you pivot your business? Ask LLC is getting ready to launch fractional Chief Operating Officer Services for mental health practices.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, because that says a lot about who I am and what you can expect from me. Resilience is important because life is going to knock you down, but it takes resilience and tenacity to shake it off and keep going. I lived this out while getting my degrees with young children and working full-time.
