Natasa Bajc is the Founder and CEO of Nexus Hestia Technologies, a funded enterprise developing sovereign on-premise AI infrastructure for architecture, engineering, construction, and operations firms. With four decades as an architect running offices, she brings extensive experience to her role. She has been an educator for about 15 years, worked in software for about 10 years, and maintained an art practice for 20 years. Her expertise centers on bridging AI with functional architecture and building design, empowering architects to maintain disciplinary integrity through data sovereignty and AI tools that augment human capabilities rather than displace them. She holds a master's in engineering and architecture from the University of Belgrade, a second master's of architecture from Sci-Arc, and nearly completed a master's in computer science in affective computing from USC. In 2010 she was a TEDx speaker.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Keep on going. The advice came from a psychologist and business person at Harvard Business School who coached the class. It has stuck with me for 10 years, especially as I build a new type of enterprise later in my career.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Arm yourselves with portable skills that can be abstracted from adjacent fields. Plan for the downside so your upside is rewarding and your downside is not total annihilation. Get a return on luck in good years.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Clear intent, transparency, and respect from all sides. Power needs to be earned. Create win-win situations and structural alliances so everyone benefits without giving up their own needs. Protect data sovereignty.
