About Natasha

Natasha Fooman serves as President and CEO of Highland Summit, a position she has held for eight years. With 25 years of experience in the intersection of government and business and public policy, she has advanced Fortune 500 companies by leading government affairs and regulatory strategies, negotiating complex legislation, and building partnerships at the local, state, and federal levels. Her career includes successfully navigating challenges in financial services, travel, transportation, telecommunication, public policy, and public safety. She led governmental affairs for one of the nation's largest fintech companies for over 15 years, protecting its products from adverse legislation while building collaborative relationships with legislators, regulators, and industry leaders through education and solutions that serve all stakeholders. Fooman now helps companies organize and navigate complex public policy, translating and developing strategies that create lasting impacts, and brings together government leaders, businesses, and nonprofit organizations to solve problems. She serves on the boards of the California Museum, California Institute of Regenerative Medicine, NAACP, and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, now called Blood Cancers Unite, where she has contributed to financial literacy initiatives and supported efforts to fund cures for cancer. Recognized as Women of the Year and later as National All-Star Woman of the Year for raising the most donations, Fooman attributes her success to trusting herself, listening, inspiring others, building bridges, creating opportunities, uniting people, and leaving every organization and person stronger than she found them.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Natasha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think that I just put trust in myself, and I listen. And I keep every word that I speak to inspire others. I believe that I build bridges and create opportunities for others. And show that we can achieve things together. And that we don't have conflicts because we collaborate with each other. That is why I contribute all that I've done, as far as building trust, I unite people. And leave every organization, every person I talk to, everything stronger than I find it. That is how I believe I contribute what I've been doing. Honestly, is about people. Trusted me and asking me for advice. Not because of my title or my awards, but because they value my opinion and what I seek. And how I've done what I've done before. It's the resolution of minds building trust and helping people move forward without disagreement.
