Her Story
About Natasha
I started off on the creative side as an art major because I loved art and design. After a couple years, I realized I was headed more towards traditional art versus digital art, so I transitioned into advertising because there was a lot of creativity involved. I started heading towards the digital designer role, but I decided to go for my marketing degree first, and then I was going to expand into creative. But I ended up kind of falling in love with the project management side of things and keeping everyone organized and on track. It's still fun to be part of the creative side. I've worked on some amazing projects, like a Super Bowl commercial with Mindy Kaling, and campaigns for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts where I got to fly out to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and to Lanai, Hawaii, to be part of really awesome shoots. I got to see their NetJets campaign come to life and see it on TV and in digital ads. That's what really motivates me - seeing these things start and come to life. Looking forward, I eventually want to start my own operations business that leans towards helping businesses solve operational challenges.

Ten minutes with Natasha
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say my attention to detail and the passion for seeing the work come to life. That's what ultimately drives you to stay in an industry - seeing these things kind of start and come to life. I worked on a Super Bowl commercial with Mindy Kaling, and campaigns for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts where I got to fly out to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and to Lanai, Hawaii, to be part of really awesome shoots. I got to see their NetJets campaign come to life and see it on TV and in digital ads. I think that's what really motivates me - being able to see the final product and knowing I was part of bringing it from concept to reality.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the best career advice that I've gotten has been to almost think about your work as entrepreneurial. Think about it as your own business, and it kind of gives you purpose and helps you stay motivated. When you approach your work with that entrepreneurial mindset, you take more ownership and pride in what you do, and it really changes how you show up every day.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say that advertising can be tough because it's very fast-paced and requires constant problem solving, but it's also very rewarding, and no two days will ever be the same. So if you're up for a fun, engaging challenge where you're going to have to solve new problems every day, but you'll get to see the rewards on TV or in digital ads, or getting advertising awards, that's when it really feels rewarding. You have to be ready for the pace and the constant challenges, but if you enjoy variety and seeing tangible results from your work, it's an incredibly fulfilling field.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I would say the biggest challenges are typically quick turnaround times and client feedback. You have to navigate all kinds of different challenges that come across different industries that I've worked in, so they all have their own unique challenges. It's a lot of problem solving and figuring out how to keep things on track, meet our deadlines, and make sure that all parties and all departments are collaborating together and closely communicating. Every industry brings its own set of obstacles, and you need to be adaptable and solution-oriented to manage them effectively.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I would say authenticity is really important to me. Having fun is key - we like to say it's just advertising, it's not the end of the world. I also value culture, positivity, and working together as a team. Creating a positive work environment where people can be themselves and collaborate effectively is essential to me, both professionally and personally.
