Her Interview

Ten minutes with Natasha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a genuine heart for people and a dedication to capturing and sharing stories that humanize those we serve. By building trust with media and donors and consistently communicating positive, compelling narratives, I have been able to achieve meaningful, measurable results.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Not every opportunity deserves a yes. And not every open door is meant for you. Move with intention. Build with purpose. Refuse to settle.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be intentional about building your credibility early. Public relations is more than posting content or planning events it’s strategy, relationships, and trust. Learn how to think critically, communicate clearly, and solve problems under pressure. Your reputation will become your greatest asset, so protect it and build it wisely.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges in my field right now include the increased stigma surrounding housing instability in the wake of COVID-19 and the urgent need to modernize shelter facilities while securing matching public funding. At the same time, there are significant opportunities to leverage trusted media partnerships and compelling donor storytelling. When communicated effectively, these narratives can mobilize substantial support.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me in both my work and personal life include service to others, humility, and being fully present. I strive to use my influence to uplift those around me and to approach storytelling with authenticity and integrity.
