Nayantara Mehta

Nayantara Mehta serves as Head of Innovation at CMA CGM in North America. In this role, she leads innovations across various groups by identifying new technology providers, startups, and emerging tech companies. She evaluates potential solutions with the business, pilots and tests them with her team, and manages partnerships based on ROI. Mehta has approximately 7 to 8 years of experience in the field. Her interest in supply chain began during her undergraduate studies when she took courses on edX, leading her to pursue a degree in industrial engineering and management from RV College of Engineering in Bangalore, India. She later earned a master's degree in supply chain from MIT. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mehta worked with Big Basket, contributing to scaling operations to handle four to five times the normal volume for grocery deliveries. She is a member of ISM's Young Professional Group and writes articles for trade magazines on supply chain innovations. Additionally, she led the entrepreneurship club during her undergrad and served as program manager for the entrepreneurship club at the Martin Trust Center at MIT. Outside of her professional work, Mehta has taught at an orphanage in India for grades 8 through 10 and her family owns a school in a village in North India, providing English-language education. She advises young women entering the industry to cherish and build upon their imagination and curiosity, learning from industry and academia to create impactful solutions for people worldwide.
