Her Story
About Nazaret
I am a federal government employee with a passion to give back to the country that gave me a second home. As an immigrant, reaching my current position in the federal government is a huge step forward, and I am proud that not a lot of people who look like me are able to contribute in a meaningful way. I am focused on program management and building my own consulting firm while being a mom.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Nazaret
01What do you attribute your success to?
My success comes from my amazing support systems, starting with my husband, my two kids, siblings, and my family overall. I couldn't do any of this without them.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be open, be flexible. Don't be stagnant, learn with others, and most importantly build non-transactional relationships and a network so that you could lean on them in the future in meaningful ways, and not just like I need something from you.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It is good to inspire the next generation of young ladies when they see somebody who looks like them, especially as a Black woman and an immigrant.
