About Nedra

Nedra Martin serves as a People Operations Partner with over 30 years of experience in Human Resources. Her career began at Walmart after a market manager recommended her for a training coordinator role, which sparked her passion for the field. She advanced to Human Resources Manager and later to a leadership position in Training and Development Facility before retiring from the company. In 2021, Nedra joined FedEx as an HR admin and within two years was promoted to her current role. Her responsibilities include people engagement, employee relations, and developing processes to support retention through creative engagement events. She has made a notable impact on turnover reduction at her station. Nedra holds an associate's degree and a PHR certification while pursuing her SPHR. She recently earned the HR Impact Award, which she attributes to entering the company with a clear plan and executing it effectively. Passionate about mentoring and seeing others succeed, Nedra advises those entering HR to recognize it as the heart of the organization and to show up authentically.
