Her Interview
Ten minutes with neeta
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my parents who included me in all financial conversations from a young age, which made me realize the importance of personal finance and inspired my goal to help others understand it too.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I received is to remember that the financial industry is one of the greatest meritocracies. If you work hard and add value, doors will open, and factors like being a woman of color become irrelevant.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I advise young women to keep working hard, be an autodidact, and remember that this industry is a meritocracy. Even if not rewarded in the short term, if they add value they will be rewarded.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is navigating the cusp of AI disruption, figuring out which jobs will be taken away by AI and which will add more value, and deciding where to concentrate energies.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important value is constantly being curious and excited about learning, as that powers everything else.
