Negar Nazari

She is an interdisciplinary artist and educator with a deep commitment to visual storytelling across painting, textile art, animation, and installation, currently serving as an Instructor at the University of Arizona, where she teaches courses in traditional and digital media. She is also pursuing an MFA at the University of Arizona, where she has exhibited her work and received First Place in the "Infused: Light Signals" exhibition at the Lionel Rombach Gallery. She has served as an Instructor for the Drawing Lab, teaching incoming undergraduate students as part of the First Year Experience program, and as a Lab Monitor and Assistant in the Letterpress Lab, where she learned from master artist Karen Zimmerman. She works as a Student Assistant at the University of Arizona Libraries and maintains an active practice as a freelance illustrator. She is recognized as a passionate, curious, and technically skilled artist and educator who is deeply committed to exploring the intersection of traditional and digital media and mentoring the next generation of creative practitioners.
