01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Network vertically and horizontally. Some of the internships I land is through connections, whether it be someone at church, maybe my doctor knows someone. Also, just working with peers and being able to work on opportunities to help for me and places I want to be in the future has been very essential.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Do it all. There's so many new opportunities and career paths that you can go on, and hopefully do something that you love, and something that makes life worth living, and just get as much exposure to everything and you can. That would be the advice that I would give the high school graduates, because you never know how life may turn out, and it just There should be nothing stopping you from getting you what you want, and if you don't know, then that's okay, but Once he tried, that's all that matters.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge to college freshmen is not only just navigating a new space, but then also managing different extracurriculars while making sure I'm getting all my study in. Opportunity I think it's time management, and just making sure I can do all the things that I love to do, while also making sure that I am holding myself accountable, and making sure I can keep my grades and GPA up.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Family and community. Having a strong support system is essential. And it's just so nice knowing someone has your back. Also, advocacy. There are important issues going on in the world, and being able to create platforms to help spread awareness has been something important to me, which is why I had joined the City of Houston Youth Ambassadorship.
