About Neisha
Neisha Aponte serves as senior regional order management manager at Assurant, where she has worked for nearly 10 years in the insurance supply chain and logistics sector. With 25 years of experience in the field, she began her career as a shift supervisor and progressed through roles at companies including Family Dollar and QVC before joining Assurant. An industrial engineer by trade, Neisha earned a master's degree in international management and a master's certificate in project management from Villanova, balancing her analytical background with skills in people management and international operations. She has grown her team from three to 13 associates while expanding operations from one program to 27 across multiple clients. Neisha credits her success to her resilience, resourcefulness, and ability to pivot and adapt, and she values the flexibility of remote work that allows her to maintain strong work-life balance as a single mother.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I am very resilient. I am also resourceful. I never see a challenge like a little thing. I take them seriously, I action on them. My ability to pivot and to be flexible has allowed me to be successful. Unable to adapt, you will be stuck. I always look for tweaks that can deliver what is being asked.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Since 2020, when we had the pandemic, I started working from home. I learned that I could be highly effective from home and lead a complex operation. I can generate money and be here for my kids with flexibility. I enjoy that work-life balance as a single mom.
