Nery Rodriguez is a seasoned retail executive turned leadership consultant with more than 25 years of experience driving operational excellence, profitability, and people development across North America. Her career began in her parents’ store in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, where weekends behind the counter sparked a lifelong passion for retail and human connection. Over the years, she rose through the ranks in major retail organizations, most notably spending 14 years at Tory Burch, where she advanced into senior leadership and ultimately oversaw retail operations across the North American fleet. Known for her ability to balance financial acumen with team development, Nery has led large-scale store operations, launched strategic initiatives, and played a pivotal role in developing the next generation of retail leaders.

After serving as a Director of Retail overseeing North American stores, Nery transitioned into independent consulting and founded Catalyst Connection LLC. In her current role as a Fractional VP and Leadership Consultant, she partners with organizations to strengthen business strategy, build high-impact sales and training programs, and lead transformational leadership development engagements. Her day-to-day work includes client outreach, company assessments, strategic planning, and facilitating Everything DiSC® and Positive Leadership sessions. A SHRM-SCP, DiSC Certified facilitator, and Positive Effect Leadership Certified professional, Nery blends data-driven strategy with a people-first philosophy—believing that sustainable results are built through coaching, clarity, and meaningful human connection.

Nery’s adaptability and passion for learning have shaped both her personal and professional journey. Having attended four different high schools, she developed resilience early in life, later earning her MBA and multiple professional certifications. Recently recognized as one of Influential Women’s featured leaders for 2026, she continues to invest deeply in growth—both her own and that of others. Outside of work, Nery values time with her family, volunteers at her children’s school, supports causes such as UP Orlando, the American Cancer Society, and the Osceola Council on Aging, and prioritizes health and fitness following her own recovery journey. An avid reader who often keeps several books on her nightstand at once, she remains committed to learning, leading with intention, and helping organizations grow without losing what makes them special.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a strong foundation built through a retail upbringing, a deep commitment to developing and coaching others, and the adaptability I gained from early life changes. I also prioritize continuous learning to ensure I continue growing and evolving in every stage of my career.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women entering this industry to actively seek out mentors and build meaningful professional relationships. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or guidance—mentorship and strong networks are essential for growth, confidence, and long-term success.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The retail industry is facing volatility, including layoffs and restructures, along with tighter budgets. While these constraints can limit external engagement, they also create opportunities for consultants and fractional leaders to step in, fill critical gaps, and deliver strategic value during times of transition.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity and kindness are the values that guide both my work and personal life. I believe in doing what is right, even when it’s difficult, and in treating others with respect, empathy, and compassion in every interaction.
