As a woman tech founder pioneering in WellTech, Nia notes challenges including funding and an education gap around preventative care, while her platform Proof of Wellness at proofofwellness.ai aims to reach two million people globally through points and digital assets for self-care.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Nia
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to God, listening, being obedient, and staying in a state of faith versus fear. Not getting into a fear state, knowing that everything is happening for me.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I received was to treat yourself as a business. If you're not operating as a business, then you can't put your best foot forward in a business. You gotta have your HR department, finance department, inventories, and checks and balances in your life.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say really get in tune with yourself, like what you like, what you don't like, what are your boundaries, and what really is your purpose work, and then align to that. Figure out what it is that you could do every day that you love, that you could get paid for, and let that be your purpose work.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges as a woman tech founder in WellTech include pioneering this space with not a lot of women doing what I do. Funding is a challenge, as well as an education gap for people on taking care of ourselves preventatively rather than just going to doctors when something is wrong.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My values are keeping God first, operating with high integrity, and what's best for the planet. Really understanding our connection to Source and knowing that whatever we're creating needs to be a reciprocity with divine order.
