Her Story

About Nicole

I began working in the technology insurance space in 2022 when my boss and mentor, Todd Johnson, recruited me to Allstate Health Solutions. Prior to that, I spent over 10 years in the health and insurance field, including experience in insurance sales and operational roles. That background gave me a strong understanding of both client and agent needs and shaped the consultative approach I bring to my work today.

What drew me to this role is my passion for helping people. Supporting insurance agents so they can better serve their clients felt like a natural fit, especially as technology plays a growing role in improving access and efficiency in healthcare. I work with insurance agents, agency owners, InsureTech companies, GAs, and FMOs to adopt SaaS technology solutions that support their business operations.

In May 2025, I was promoted to Team Lead, where I now manage and mentor a team of sales consultants. A key focus of my role is driving process improvements and strengthening cross‑departmental communication to ensure our teams remain aligned and effective. One of my most meaningful professional accomplishments has been improving collaboration across departments, which has had a noticeable impact on how we support agents.

I also work closely with our development team, sharing direct feedback from agents to explain what they need and why it matters. Serving as that connection between agents and product development, and helping our platform grow through real‑world insight, is a part of my work that I find especially rewarding.

Ten minutes with Nicole

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success first and foremost to God, along with a strong sense of responsibility and perseverance. When something needs to be done, I am committed to finding a solution, whether by working through it myself or engaging the right people to help achieve the outcome. I view challenges as opportunities for growth and remain focused and determined once I set a goal, never allowing obstacles to derail what I set out to accomplish.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

When I began working at a young age, my father would tell me to “make a hand” every time I left for work, a phrase he used during his time in the oil field to emphasize doing your part and taking pride in your contribution. That advice stayed with me and continues to shape how I approach my work today. Whether someone is a janitor or a CEO, the principle remains the same, and it is something I continue to strive for. In every role, I aim to be a genuine asset not only to the organization, but to the people I serve. Carrying that mindset throughout my career has grounded my work ethic and influences how I show up each day.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I have heard from many women that this field can feel challenging, but I believe confidence in what you bring to the table removes those barriers. When you trust your abilities and are willing to share your ideas, your voice has value. It is important not to be intimidated by titles, education levels, or where others may be in their careers. Every role and every perspective matters. Confidence in your capabilities is key, and no one should make you feel as though you do not belong or are incapable of achieving what others can.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in my field right now is growth. Because it is technology‑driven, the industry is constantly evolving, and that creates ongoing opportunities to adapt, improve, and innovate. New solutions are emerging all the time, which requires us to remain flexible and forward‑thinking.

In my role, I have the opportunity to work directly with insurance agents, agency owners, InsureTech companies, GAs, and FMOs and gain a clear understanding of their needs and challenges. I am able to share that insight with our development team, helping them understand not only what our customers need, but why it matters. Serving as that connection between users and development, and contributing to the growth and evolution of our platform, is something I truly enjoy. The pace of change in technology continues to create meaningful opportunities for innovation and improvement.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is the foundation of everything I do. Treating others with respect and honesty is important to me, regardless of the industry or role. At the end of the day, we are helping people meet real needs, and success comes from approaching that responsibility with transparency and care. While my role is in sales, I view myself as a consultant. If a solution is not the right fit, I am straightforward about that, because my goal is not to sell for the sake of selling, but to help people achieve their goals. Honesty and integrity guide every interaction and decision I make.
