She also earned her NASM Personal Training Certification, along with a bar certificate, Pilates mat certification, and continuing education as a flexibility coach. Her expertise centers on yoga, which she considers her primary area of power, as well as personal training, stretching, and Pilates. Ney attributes her success to her parents' strong work ethic, her strict Russian ballet teacher, and early bosses who emphasized being the best version of oneself. She is a member of Yoga Alliance and has volunteered with World Central Kitchen, assisting with initiatives such as providing free lunches to federal workers in DC. Her background in dance since age 5 and experiences in the entertainment industry and at Bliss Spa have shaped her entrepreneurial approach, including advice from her boss there about knowing one's worth when setting prices.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Nicole
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my parents' incredible work ethic, watching my dad work days and nights while still handling family responsibilities, my strict Russian ballet teacher who instilled dedication and the drive to always strive for more, and my first bosses who taught me to be the best version of myself and that what you put into something is what you get out of it. My background in dance from age 5 has been foundational to everything.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I received was from my boss at Bliss Spa who told us to stop selling from your pocket or wallet. It taught me not to undersell myself, to know my worth and value when charging for sessions, which is why I went out on my own to set my own prices rather than working for others.
