Her Interview
Ten minutes with Nicole
01What do you attribute your success to?
My upbringing is the thing that sticks out the most. I grew up with a family of six. I've had great examples that helped me along the way. I've also had great mentors. When they saw me going left, they were dedicated to my success, making sure that I do the right things.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Treat people how you want to be treated, regardless of how far you go up.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
There is nothing that you can't achieve if you put the work in.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
In the healthcare industry, leadership roles are extremely male dominant. Regardless of how well you do in your role, as a woman, sometimes if you do too good of a job, it kind of hampers you and keeps you back. I interviewed for a VP position and they brought in someone from the outside with no experience.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Loyalty is one that I value in both my personal and professional life.
