Her Interview
Ten minutes with Nicole
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to more than 16 years of experience in a male-dominated industry, managing multimillion-dollar portfolios for clients including Amazon, Google, and Apple. As a Senior Project Manager at 3B Protection, I focus on empowering teams, delivering impactful programs, and leading with excellence and integrity.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to seek out strong mentors. Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to learn from mentors such as Chasteen Lynch, LaRon Lee, James Martin, Jason Olden, Jackie Danielson, Todd Gorder, and current leaders Dominic and Ashley Dillon. Their guidance has shaped my growth, and some continue to support me even after I’ve moved to another state.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women to remember that success does not always require a traditional degree. I earned my GED in 11th grade and built my career through continuous learning and certifications in areas such as Lean Six Sigma, AI project management, and OSHA training. Practical experience, staying teachable, and continuing to grow are just as valuable, so never feel intimidated by those with bachelor’s or master’s degrees.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
As I’ve been in my current role for just under a year, I’m continuing to learn the industry’s evolving challenges and identify opportunities to make a meaningful impact. This experience has given me the opportunity to grow, adapt, and apply my expertise in new ways.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Excellence, integrity, and community service are at the heart of both my work and personal life. I value giving back through initiatives such as feeding the homeless, coat drives, and supporting domestic violence victims. I also prioritize continuous learning and staying current with industry trends, including AI and construction, while making time for family and community events.
