Nicole Christensen

Nicole Christensen serves as the founder and president of Friends of Eaton County Animals, a 501c3 non-profit organization operating a pet shelter and pet food pantry. She established the organization after millage votes were declined in November 2024 and May 2025, reaching out to form a seven-member board to protect animals and people in the community. Christensen has been in her role since July 2025 and has fostered dogs for approximately four years. In addition to her work with the non-profit, she is a county commissioner for Eaton County and holds positions on the DDA for the City of Charlotte, the Planning Commission for the City of Charlotte, multiple boards for the county, and as a chamber member. She graduated in 1990 from a school in Mason, Michigan, after taking prerequisites for nursing, which she did not complete. The organization's website is www.FOECA.org.
