Her Interview
Ten minutes with Nicole
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to resilience and persistence. I've never been someone who accepts "no" as the final answer. Instead, I see it as an opportunity to ask more questions, find another path, or create a better solution.
Throughout my career, I've learned that setbacks, rejection, and obstacles are inevitable, but they don't define the outcome. What matters is how you respond. I stay focused, continue to follow up, and refuse to give up on opportunities I believe in.
That persistence, combined with a strong work ethic and a commitment to building genuine relationships, has helped me consistently achieve results. I've found that success isn't always about being the smartest person in the room. It's about being the person who's willing to keep showing up, keep learning, and keep moving forward when others stop.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is to advocate for yourself. No one is going to care more about your career than you do, so it's important to speak up about your goals, ask for opportunities, and be willing to take on new challenges.
I've learned that advocating for yourself isn't about being the loudest person in the room, it's about having confidence in the value you bring, asking for what you want, and not being afraid to put yourself forward. Some of the biggest opportunities in my career have come because I was willing to raise my hand, have difficult conversations, and step outside my comfort zone.
That advice has taught me to take ownership of my career, invest in my own growth, and never wait for someone else to create opportunities for me.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the staffing industry is to be confident, stay curious, and don't be afraid to take risks. This industry is built on relationships, resilience, and problem-solving, and your ability to connect with people will become one of your greatest strengths.
Don't be intimidated by rejection—it's part of sales and part of growth. Every "no" brings you one step closer to a "yes." Stay persistent, keep learning, and never stop improving your craft.
I'd also encourage you to advocate for yourself. Let people know what your career goals are, ask for opportunities, and don't assume that hard work alone will always be noticed. Be willing to raise your hand for challenging projects, seek feedback, and find mentors who will invest in your development.
Most importantly, be authentic. People do business with people they trust. You don't have to change who you are to be successful
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the staffing industry right now is navigating a rapidly changing workforce. Labor market conditions, candidate expectations, technology, and economic uncertainty continue to evolve, so it's critical to stay agile and adapt quickly.
At the same time, I think this presents one of our greatest opportunities. Clients are looking for more than a staffing vendor. They want a strategic partner who can help them solve workforce challenges, improve retention, leverage data, and create a better employee experience. Agencies that can provide consultative solutions, use technology to drive better outcomes, and back recommendations with measurable results will continue to stand out.
AI is also creating tremendous opportunities. Rather than replacing recruiters and sales professionals, it's allowing us to automate administrative tasks, gain deeper insights from data, and spend more time building relationships and solving complex business problems. The companies that embrace AI while maintaining a human-first approach will have a significant competitive advantage.
Ultimately, I believe the future of staffing belongs to organizations that combine technology, data, and exceptional customer service to deliver a better experience for both clients and candidates.
