Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my first clinical supervisor, Crystal Brain. She taught me that I can't always wait to feel ready to take the leap. She empowered me to push and try new solutions in the face of challenges or adversities. She was a key mentor who guided my early development in the field and helped me build confidence in both my clinical skills and leadership potential.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women entering this industry to stay patient with the process, prioritize self-care, and trust that both personal and professional growth takes time. Challenges in sessions may feel overwhelming in the moment, but the long-term impact we have on children’s lives is truly lasting.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is ensuring caregiver education and consistency across environments when working with children on the autism spectrum. At the same time, I see a significant opportunity in empowering families through education—helping them better understand behavior and communication to support long-term success.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are empathy, patience, balance, and growth. I believe that meaningful progress happens when we remain calm, consistent, and supportive—both with the clients we serve and with ourselves.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, dancing, snowboarding, and exploring new places. Maintaining an active lifestyle and personal balance is important to me alongside the demands of a clinical career.
