Her Story

About Nicole

Nicole Giuliano has worked in fitness for almost six years, building expertise in marketing and communications within the fitness and outdoor sectors. She pursued her certified personal training certification during her last year of college, inspired by a personal trainer, and went on to serve as head coach at F45, where she influenced many in the fitness community. Her experience also includes time as a ski instructor, and she remains a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America even though she no longer teaches. Currently engaged in marketing work outside of fitness, Nicole is seeking a position in marketing or communications for an outdoor company. She attributes her professional success to taking risks and not fearing failure, while prioritizing values such as integrity, honesty, dedication, motivation, and drive in her work.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Nicole

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say taking risks. I moved to San Diego with no job, didn't know anyone, just a place to live off Facebook and drove out there. So just taking risks and not being afraid of failing.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I think find out what you really want to do, where your passions are, and see if you can connect that to the work that you're doing. It makes the work a lot easier.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I would say the biggest challenge is honestly just being able to make that genuine connection with people because of how much AI and online presence there is, it's really hard for that human connection and outdoor brands really prioritize that.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My top value that I've always said is integrity, and that kind of plays along with honesty and being following through on your word, that would be number one, but I think number two would probably be having that dedication, motivation, and that drive to want to do what you're doing.
