About Nicole

Nicole Gray is a marketing professional based in Delray Beach, Florida, specializing in out-of-home advertising within the communications field. With approximately four years of experience, she began her professional journey during college with a sales and marketing internship at Southwestern Advantage. There, she learned to run and manage her own business selling educational resources and achieved notable success by building and scaling a business over $70,000 while ranking in the top 15 out of more than 100 first-year participants through selling two to three times the average volume. She gained additional experience through a field marketing internship with Circle and a social media marketing internship with For the Table Hospitality. Using her networking skills, Nicole secured a role at the Zimmerman agency, where she managed client calls, deliverables, and press trips. This experience propelled her into her current position, where she works with national brands on proposals and market tours for the Miami area. A 2025 graduate of Florida State University, Nicole was also a member of Sigma Delta Tau and Women in Business during her college years. She values family, a diverse peer network that challenges her thinking, and cultural understanding, and she advises young women entering the industry to be opportunists, say yes to opportunities, and speak confidently without self-doubt.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice came from my Southwestern Advantage experience where I achieved top 15 out of over 100 first years by selling 2 to 3 times more than average.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be an opportunist, say yes, and don't doubt yourself. You're always going to face doubt... remember you have a fresh mind, great ideas, and never be afraid to speak confidently, speak loudly, and be true to who you are.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Family values are very important to me. Having a very close peer network that is diverse and can challenge you. Cultural values are very important, understanding everyone's culture and background.
