Her Interview
Ten minutes with Nicole
01What do you attribute your success to?
I think my willingness to learn, being quick and responsive and my concise communication skills. I know that sounds very simple, but those things have set me apart across my various roles.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
When you get presented opportunities, say yes. It's really important to just always build your network. Most roles I’ve had in my career were ones that other leaders saw and encouraged me to interview for. It is good to know what you are driving towards, but also important that your work is visible.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be afraid of supply chain. A lot of it seems male-dominated but some of the best people I've worked with in logistics have been women. There's this thought that we can't do it but you absolutely can.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The feeling of stepping on toes. Crave simplicity because processes are clunky. There is so much opportunity in AI to automate. There are several different roles within the supply chain space that continues to evolve with new tech.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important value should be the person at the center of everything. Treat people with respect, trust, and care. Think how will a change affect them first in any situation.
