Her Story
About Nicole
She is currently a Psy.D. doctoral candidate whose professional work integrates the roles of therapist, evaluator, and advocate within higher education, child welfare, and integrated behavioral-health settings. She serves as a Graduate Assistant at Capella University while working as an Integrated Care Manager with DCS CHP–Mercy Care, where she supports care coordination, assesses client needs, collaborates with multidisciplinary providers, and helps connect individuals and families to appropriate clinical and community-based interventions.
Her experience also includes providing academic support, conducting client assessments, participating in child-welfare investigations, and completing forensic interviews. Across these roles, she has developed skills in therapeutic engagement, trauma-informed communication, clinical and psychosocial evaluation, case conceptualization, documentation, and the coordination of individualized intervention plans. Her work reflects a commitment to supporting children, families, and students through ethical, culturally responsive, and evidence-informed practice.
