Nicole Martin is a strategic consultant, educator, and digital media leader with nearly two decades of experience connecting data, strategy, and people to drive organizational growth and innovation. Her career began in photography and documentary production before expanding into television, corporate strategy, connected TV (CTV), and independent consulting. Today, she advises organizations on growth strategy, audience engagement, operational effectiveness, and organizational alignment, helping leaders translate complex challenges into practical, data-informed solutions. Her client portfolio includes organizations such as Wisconsin Foodie, DISH, and Stephens College, reflecting her expertise across media, education, and nonprofit sectors.
In addition to her consulting practice, Nicole has built a strong reputation as an educator and organizational strategist. She served as Program Manager at the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA), where she held the organization's inaugural culture-focused role, strengthening employee engagement, leadership alignment, and workplace effectiveness. As an adjunct instructor at Stephens College and guest lecturer at institutions including Beloit College, she has mentored students pursuing careers in film, media, and data analytics while emphasizing the impact of emerging technologies, streaming platforms, and strategic storytelling. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to resilience, continuous learning, authenticity, and the willingness to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Throughout my career, I've learned that success is not achieved alone—it is built through meaningful relationships, collaboration, and the support of mentors, colleagues, family, and friends who have encouraged me along the way. I've always believed in staying true to my values, maintaining a strong work ethic, and being open to new ideas and perspectives. Every challenge has taught me something valuable, and every experience has helped shape my leadership style. Remaining adaptable, committed to lifelong learning, and focused on making a positive impact has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't pre-limit yourself. The reason why people succeed is because they have that core idea and vision. Go for it. There will always be barriers there to limit you, but find other ways around it, or there will be people there to help you find ways around it.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values I hold most important are integrity, authenticity, empathy, professionalism, collaboration, and empowering others. I believe trust is earned through honesty, consistency, and accountability, and those principles guide every decision I make. Whether in my career or personal life, I strive to treat people with respect, listen with empathy, and create an environment where others feel valued and supported. I also believe in giving back by mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and encouraging people to recognize their own potential. Success is most meaningful when it creates opportunities for others to grow and succeed as well.
