Ten minutes with Nicole

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the incredible mentors who have guided and challenged me throughout my journey. Early influences like Kirk Shelton, Isla Yates, and my father helped shape my character and leadership foundation, while Marsha Heslop and Dr. Charles Bolsch continue to provide valuable guidance in my work with Undying Hope and ISOP. Their mentorship has helped me expand my vision for creating sustainable solutions in Africa through food security, clean water initiatives, and community sponsorship programs.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this field is to build strong relationships and seek out opportunities to learn from others. Get involved in networking organizations such as Elevating Women Together, find mentors who can guide and encourage you, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Surrounding yourself with a supportive community can open doors, provide valuable perspectives, and help you grow both personally and professionally.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide both my work and personal life are service, integrity, innovation, and impact. Professionally, I am passionate about creating meaningful results, whether through initiatives that drive significant cost savings and operational improvements or by developing solutions that create long-term value. Personally, I believe in using my skills and resources to serve others, which is reflected in my philanthropic work supporting healthcare, food security, and clean water initiatives. For me, success is measured not only by what we achieve, but by the positive difference we make in the lives of others.
