Her Interview

Ten minutes with Nicole

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think it's a lot of curiosity and just going for it, not being afraid to second-guess myself. I've never been afraid to kind of just figure it out as I go, being curious and running after that curiosity.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be creative. Don't be afraid to shake things up. Don't take just the path that you think everybody wants you to take. Think for yourself. Be confident. Sometimes you just gotta roll with the punches. When you fall down, lick your wounds, but know that there's something on the other side of it, and get back up.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Thinking about how to optimize AI in a way that optimizes your current workflows but also improves those workflows is a really big opportunity. Seeing things from a different lens and being open to the possibilities with new technology. There's so much opportunity for compensation practitioners to be creative in their day-to-day work.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Compassion, integrity, willingness to explore new things, being open-minded, non-judgmental when things don't work out, and being resilient.
