Nicole Sites is a dynamic Human Resources Generalist at Powerback, bringing more than seven years of progressive HR experience across healthcare, manufacturing, and corporate environments. Based in Cleveland, Tennessee, Nicole has built her career on a deep commitment to supporting employees and fostering positive, compliant, and engaging workplaces. She currently serves as the primary HR partner for more than 500 employees across Skilled Nursing Facilities, Pediatric School Systems, and therapy operations in over 20 states—managing benefits, leave of absence programs, and workforce development initiatives with precision and care.

Before joining Powerback, Nicole honed her skills at Caterpillar Inc. and Virginia Health Rehab, where she developed and led strategies to enhance employee engagement, streamline onboarding, and ensure regulatory compliance. Her expertise spans FMLA and workers’ compensation administration, policy interpretation, and multi-state workforce management. Colleagues know Nicole for her reliability, empathy, and ability to listen—qualities that make her a trusted resource for both employees and leadership.

Outside of her professional life, Nicole balances her dedication to HR with her role as a mother and community advocate. She enjoys hair styling, snow tubing, and spending time at the beach, and she supports organizations such as the Michael Walker Foundation. Nicole’s motivation stems from her love of helping others and her belief that kindness and understanding are the foundation of strong workplace cultures. I attribute much of my success to my father, whose guidance, work ethic, and unwavering support have greatly influenced my personal and professional growth. What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The most significant challenges and opportunities in human resources today center on talent management, particularly employee retention and engagement. These areas are increasingly influenced by the growing demand for more comprehensive benefits packages and professional development initiatives. Additionally, organizations face the challenge of adapting to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and streamlining complex HR technology systems. At the same time, there are substantial opportunities to foster more inclusive and flexible work environments that enhance employee morale and overall productivity.

The values most important to me in both my professional and personal life include integrity, accountability, and respect.
