Her Interview
Ten minutes with Nicole
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Probably to learn how to actively listen. Listen to what people have to say, listen to the problems that they have, or try to hear the in-between of what they're attempting to say, and kind of reciprocate right back to them how you interpreted it to alleviate any possible misunderstandings or just really to seek clarification. Active listening is probably one of the most important advice I've ever received.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be afraid, don't walk into a room and pretend like you own the room. People want to hear from you. You'll win 9 out of 10 if you fully believe in what you're doing, because if you don't fully believe, the frequency of authenticity cannot be faked. People can sense if you're real, if you're believing in what it is that you are doing. Believing in what it is that you're doing will make people drawn to your energy, and the confidence backed behind that will really elevate you to the next level.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Some of the biggest challenges are simply trying to find the actual right person or the actual decision maker. We do a lot of healthcare and work in a lot of hospitals here in the Valley. To try to gain a new hospital, you can't just simply walk in to the front and ask to speak to facilities. You have to do a lot of research, a lot of LinkedIn communications, a lot of digging, and navigating through a giant web of networking and interconnections with separate people.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I value integrity, transparency, a high effective level of communication. I like to be able to update my clients every single step of the way. I value really effective communication, honesty, transparency, and communication. We always ask them point blank where we need to be with budgets and do our very best to accommodate.
