Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I work as hard as I do because I want to provide for my family and raise decent human beings. This world is so tough already, and it's really important that I educate, teach, and help guide my children. I have a son and a daughter on both spectrums, and it's important that I'm successful so that my kids see success, they feel successful, and it's just something we live and breathe. It's normal and it's what's expected. Everything I do is to pay it forward to my kids, to teach them everything I've learned already. My parents were incredibly influential in the decisions I make and the growth potential that I know I'm capable of. Even as an adult, as a grown woman, I still rely heavily on both my parents for certain things. They've been such a foundation in my growth and development, and I don't know if I would be where I am now without them.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My dad is a firm believer in the quote 'Plan your work and work your plan,' and I've maintained that mentality for as long as I can remember, and it's never failed me. You plan something out accordingly, and of course things change and you have to deviate, but when circumstances change, rather than let emotion affect that plan, you stick to what you have already laid out. You do not let your emotions get the best of you to change the goal or the path to get there. You stick to the plan, you work your plan, and you plan the work.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Not every day is going to be great. You're going to have some bad days. But it's so important that you get there the next day expecting new outcomes, new results, and not harvesting the bad from the day before to then affect the new day. As hard as it is, and I'm not that great at it sometimes myself, I really do try to come into my office every day fresh and new, leaving the troubles from the day before to the side and focusing on what I can control. When you're coming into something new, with new changes and new environments, days are going to be different. Focus on what you can control.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the most meaningful opportunities in my field right now is empowering more women to recognize their value and step confidently into roles where they can thrive and lead. I am deeply passionate about helping women understand that success in this space is absolutely attainable. While the journey can be challenging and requires resilience, commitment, and continuous growth, the rewards are incredibly worthwhile. I encourage women to invest in themselves take the time to learn, develop their skills, and absorb as much knowledge as possible—because with dedication and persistence, they can build impactful and fulfilling careers.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I appreciate honesty and transparency, but paying it forward is huge for me. Someone who is willing to do something for someone else without expecting something in return goes a long way, and I value and respect that so much. I have so much more respect for someone who's willing to lend a hand, do something nice, and just be kind. That's huge inside my office and outside in the world. Being a kind, decent person is very important. We love going to the park and spending time in nature. There's the Kitching Nature Preserve in Stuart, which is just a nice path that you can walk through. My dog loves it, and everyone loves getting outside. Getting that vitamin D and being in the green, getting outside and getting dirty, is important to us.
