Nidhi Dabhi, RN
I am a Registered Nurse with a deep passion for making a positive impact in the lives of seniors. Raised in the South, I was instilled with the values of Southern hospitality—treating everyone like family with kindness, compassion, and a warm smile. Now living in New Jersey, I bring that same spirit of personalized, heartfelt care to every individual and family I serve. My journey into caregiving began long before my professional career. I remember the man who first showed me what caregiving truly means: my grandfather. He was my first patient, and caring for him as a teenager—after his hip surgery and through hospice—lit the spark that ultimately led me to nursing. I still carry his memory in every decision I make today. His quiet strength, dignity, and love are at the heart of everything I do. With over 15 years of nursing experience, my career began in hospital settings before I found my true calling in geriatrics. Over the years, I have worked extensively in long-term care, rehabilitation, nursing homes, and assisted living. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of not only the clinical needs of seniors, but also the emotional support and human connection that are just as essential to their well-being. Caregiving, to me, is more than a profession—it’s a calling. This belief led me to take a leap of faith and open my own agency in Central Jersey. As the owner, I remain hands-on in both client care and daily operations, ensuring that every individual receives the highest level of support. I am equally passionate about advocating for caregivers. I believe that exceptional care starts with a supported and valued team, which is why I am committed to fair compensation, open communication, and creating a nurturing environment where caregivers can thrive. At the core of my philosophy is a lesson my grandfather taught me without ever saying the words: “The best care is given not with your hands, but with your heart.” I may hold many titles today—wife, mom, business owner, entrepreneur—but I will always be a nurse first. And that identity will forever be rooted in the care I gave my grandfather. Success, to me, is measured in the lives I touch—whether it’s a client’s comfort, a family’s peace of mind, or a caregiver’s sense of purpose. And along the way, I always make room for a little laughter—and a few extra coffee breaks.

What do you attribute your success to?
“My success comes from the people who trusted me in their most vulnerable moments. Those experiences shaped how I lead, how I serve, and why I continue to push for better care every day.”
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
“The best advice I’ve ever received wasn’t said directly to me—it was shown to me through experience: never forget the human behind the care. That lesson has guided every decision I’ve made, from bedside to leadership.”
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
“Stay connected to your ‘why.’ There will be long days and challenging moments, but if you remember why you started—who you’re doing it for—you’ll find the strength to keep going and grow into something even greater than you imagined.”
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
“The biggest challenge is the caregiver shortage in the face of rising demand—but the biggest opportunity is redefining how we support caregivers and elevate the standard of care for seniors.”
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
“At my core, I value compassion, authenticity, and connection. I believe people can feel when you genuinely care, and that’s something I carry into every interaction—both personally and professionally. I also value resilience, because growth in life and in this field comes from showing up, even on the hard days.”
