Nidhi Patel, MD
Dr. Nidhi Patel is a highly accomplished physician, researcher, and medical science liaison with a deep passion for advancing healthcare through innovation and collaboration. She holds an MD with clinical expertise in neurology, psychiatry, immunology, and gastroenterology, and brings over four years of research experience with multiple publications. Nidhi has also served in leadership roles, including Dean of Students and Lecturer, where she excelled in mentoring and fostering effective communication. Her international experience and broad clinical background allow her to bridge the gap between science and practical patient care.
Currently, Nidhi serves as a Medical Science Liaison at Sanofi, where she leverages her clinical and research expertise to deliver patient-focused solutions while building strong partnerships with key opinion leaders. She has previously held positions as a Clinical Research Scientist at GI Alliance and as a Telemedicine Neurology Consultant at SEHOS, as well as completing her residency at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Curacao. Nidhi’s work is guided by a commitment to excellence, collaboration, and transforming medicine through creative solutions.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my supportive mom, who gave me the genes and inspiration, my husband for supporting me and letting me spread my wings, and my own resiliency and determination to never give up.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to step away from practicing medicine after 10–12 years, explore other roles, and build a strong safety net and support system around you.

My advice to young women entering the industry is to spread your wings, embrace challenges without fear, build strong connections through networking, and keep moving forward.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is managing my time effectively while accommodating the schedules and needs of others.
