Her Story
About Niesha
I've been in the finance industry for over 20 years. I started in collections calling for car payments, moved to supervisor over the collections floor, then to underwriting to learn auto finance, and now I'm in recovery management working side-by-side with the tow team to locate vehicles and set up payment plans or settlements. I like the Inspector Gadget work of tracking things down. I also founded Keeping Kelly Utah six months ago to advocate for survivors of domestic violence in honor of my sister.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Niesha
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to loving what I'm doing and the people and company I work for. It's like we're all a family and we have each other's backs. I also never stop learning and step outside my comfort zone.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice is never stop learning and never allow your current position to define your full potential. Growth happens when you're willing to step outside your comfort zone, ask questions, and embrace new opportunities.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice is to always be consistent, don't give up, and ask questions if you need to. We're all in this together. The more you learn from your mentors, the better you'll be.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is staying focused when doing a lot of repeat work, but I keep my focus and dedication which has helped bring the company out of financial situations.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Faith and perseverance are most important. I've been through a lot and want to be a role model showing you can't be broken but can rise and perform your dreams, especially helping in domestic violence.
