Her Story

About Nikita

Nikita Lemon has spent five years with Fidelity in the financial industry. She completed her bachelor's degree last year while simultaneously obtaining her supervisory licenses in Series 9 and 10. Initially pursuing environmental science for her degree due to its lower math requirements, Nikita now aspires to earn her CFP designation. As a servant leader, she supports her team by developing broad skills across roles. She attributes her success to an open mind, seeking perspectives different from her own, and viewing everything as a learning opportunity. Nikita defines success as building a strong foundation supported by a reliable network. She advises women entering the field to know enough to be dangerous and to seek opportunities to learn more about financial matters. Nikita finds her work rewarding through helping others find their career paths and serves her community by donating to St. Jude and a local children's home while volunteering at schools in Covington.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Nikita

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would think just having a really open mind, right? Just making sure that you're seeking perspectives that are maybe different than yours. And having the mindset that everything is an opportunity to learn. Success is building a really strong foundation and then having the people in your network to make it sustainable, building your village.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Always know enough to be dangerous, and look for the opportunities to find out more, especially when it comes to anything in the financial world. Be involved, have the knowledge, even if it's not something you're handling day in and day out.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Female financial advisors are definitely in demand. It's always going to feel a little bit like a male-dominated field, so there's ample opportunity for women across the financial industry. And leadership is huge.
