About Niricha
She is an emerging community organizer, civic advocate, and government affairs professional currently serving as an Organizer with the Alabama Democratic Party in Montgomery, Alabama. She previously completed internships with the ACLU of Alabama, where she engaged students, community members, and partner organizations to expand voter participation and civic awareness, supported voter registration drives and awareness campaigns, and researched and prepared fact sheets, testimony, and policy materials on voting rights and legislative updates, and with The Jones Group, where she supported lobbying efforts during the Alabama State Legislative Session, tracked legislation across education, healthcare, and other policy areas, attended committee hearings and floor sessions, and built relationships with state legislators and their staff. She also served as a Client Advocate and Undergraduate Intern with the Office of the Public Defenders, where she conducted intake interviews, researched wraparound services and policy resources to connect clients with housing, counseling, and legal aid, and observed courtroom proceedings and legislative impacts on defense strategies. Her career reflects a deep commitment to civic engagement, voting rights, and advocacy for underserved communities.
