About Nisreen
**Nisreen Ibrahim, M.Ed.** is an accomplished educator with nearly two decades of experience in teaching, educational leadership, and English language instruction. She currently serves as an English Language Studies (ELS) Instructor at the Community College of Rhode Island, where she has been teaching adult English language learners since January 2026. Prior to returning to the United States, she built an extensive career in Cairo, Egypt, spending 17 years teaching elementary students in grades one through four before serving as an Elementary Principal for two years. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments that foster academic growth and lifelong success.
Ms. Ibrahim earned a Bachelor of Business Management from the University of the District of Columbia and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Acacia University, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA and Highest Distinction. Fluent in both English and Arabic, she brings a multicultural perspective to the classroom and is passionate about supporting learners from diverse backgrounds. Her professional expertise includes English language studies, adult education, elementary education, educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, and student-centered teaching. She is recognized for her ability to build meaningful relationships, adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs, and promote continuous improvement through collaboration and data-informed decision-making.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my dedication and genuine passion for teaching. When I enjoy what I do, I give it my full commitment regardless of the circumstances. I believe that consistently dedicating myself to my work, maintaining perseverance, and striving to make a positive impact on my students have been the foundation of my professional growth and success.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is to take chances, pursue opportunities with confidence, and never limit myself. I believe it is never too late to embrace new challenges, expand my skills, and explore different career paths. Remaining open to growth has allowed me to continue developing both personally and professionally.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering education is to never limit themselves. Believe in your abilities, work diligently toward your goals, and don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone when you know you have more to contribute. Meaningful achievements require dedication, perseverance, and commitment, but the rewards of making a difference in the lives of others are well worth the effort.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the greatest challenges I have encountered is transitioning from many years of elementary education and school leadership into adult education, where previous experience does not always align with the qualifications required for new full-time opportunities. At the same time, this transition has created valuable opportunities to expand my expertise, receive positive feedback from adult learners, and continue growing into broader roles within higher education, instructional coaching, and educational leadership.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide both my professional and personal life are dedication, commitment, and communication. I believe success begins with dedicating yourself fully to your goals, remaining committed even during difficult circumstances, and communicating effectively to build strong relationships, overcome challenges, and create opportunities for growth and understanding.
