Her Interview

Ten minutes with Nita

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to believing in myself and having the confidence to recognize that I bring valuable perspectives and ideas to the table. I've learned that my voice matters, and that speaking up at the right time can make a meaningful impact. Trusting my instincts, contributing thoughtfully, and having the courage to share my point of view have been key factors in both my personal and professional growth.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is that "nice, quiet, comfortable women don't make history." It reminded me that meaningful impact often requires the courage to step outside my comfort zone, speak up, and remain authentic. I've learned to trust my instincts, share my perspective with confidence, and take initiative rather than waiting for permission. While it's important to be respectful and collaborative, I've found that being proactive, embracing calculated risks, and owning my decisions have been instrumental to my professional growth.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to be your own strongest advocate. Don't assume that your hard work will always be recognized make your accomplishments visible, speak confidently about the value you bring, and don't be afraid to ask for the opportunities, compensation, and recognition you deserve. No one will champion your career as passionately as you will, so advocate for yourself, know your worth, and never hesitate to pursue it.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

AI represents one of the most significant opportunities in the field right now, offering the potential to transform how work is done, improve efficiency, and unlock new levels of innovation. At the same time, the biggest challenge is ensuring it is adopted ethically and sustainably without introducing unnecessary technical debt or overwhelming teams. The rapid pace of change requires organizations to stay adaptable, continuously learn, and build systems that are flexible enough to evolve alongside emerging technologies while maintaining long-term stability and responsible use.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is the most important value in both my professional and personal life. I believe that while everyone makes mistakes, what defines character is how those moments are handled taking ownership, being honest, and learning from them. I also place strong value on supporting my team, showing accountability, and maintaining trust through consistent actions and transparency.
