Her Story

About Noelia

Noelia Orozco is a marketing and events professional with experience spanning digital marketing, product development, event management, luxury hospitality, financial technology, and international business. She currently serves as a Marketing Intern with the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern U.S. (GACC South), where she is focused on marketing and events. Her earlier experience includes serving as a Junior Product Development & Marketing Associate and Marketing Intern at Gabriel Money, where she contributed to social media strategy, product marketing, customer research, focus groups, app development initiatives, culturally relevant campaigns, and partnership development. She also developed a strong foundation in event operations through her work in luxury hospitality and country club management.

Orozco's academic and international experiences have strengthened her interest in marketing, market research, and international business. She earned a Digital Marketing Certificate through KSU Community and Professional Education and has pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing at Georgia Gwinnett College. During her studies, she participated in international business experiences in Germany and France, gaining exposure to sustainable business practices, global commerce, market research, and market-entry strategy. While studying at NEOMA Business School in France, she worked with an international marketing team on a market-entry recommendation for REHAU Window Solutions and helped the team earn first place in a case study competition focused on entering the Southeastern European market, specifically Croatia. The experience gave her greater clarity about pursuing marketing, international business, and market-entry opportunities.

Beyond her professional and academic pursuits, Orozco is passionate about creativity, cultural experiences, community engagement, and international perspectives. She has served as a Student Ambassador with the Georgia Gwinnett College School of Business and previously served as Director of Public Relations and Social Media for the Organization of Latin American Students, where she developed content, managed social media communications, hosted interviews, and promoted organizational events. She also volunteers with Atlanta Mission, supporting initiatives serving homeless women and children. Orozco speaks English and Spanish fluently and has working knowledge of Portuguese. She is particularly interested in pursuing opportunities in spectator events, motorsports, sports marketing, and digital media, with a long-term aspiration of advancing into marketing leadership. Her approach is grounded in respect, integrity, hard work, creativity, and a belief that technology should enhance—not replace—the human creativity at the heart of marketing.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Noelia

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success so far to my family and, especially, to the strong women who have supported me throughout my life. I lost my mother when I was a teenager, and I am deeply grateful for the women in my family who stepped forward during that time and became strong sources of encouragement and support. They have been my cheerleaders, helped me navigate difficult moments, and made sure that I never felt alone. I believe their support, guidance, and belief in me have played an important role in helping me grow from my teenage years into early adulthood.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women is to take your time and remember that you are not competing with anyone except yourself. It is completely okay not to have everything figured out immediately after high school or college. You may see other people receiving promotions, getting married, earning advanced degrees, or reaching other milestones at a young age, but everyone's journey is different.

There is no single, linear path to success. I encourage young women to believe in themselves, recognize their worth, and understand that their journey does not have to look like anyone else's. Whatever you set your mind to, you can accomplish, and your timeline does not diminish your potential.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in marketing is finding ways to stand out as artificial intelligence continues to change how people work. I think marketers need to find the right balance between using AI as a tool and maintaining the human creativity and originality that make marketing, content creation, and event marketing effective.

I personally use AI for preliminary research, organization, and helping structure information I have already developed, rather than relying on it to do all of my thinking. I believe it is important to take advantage of new technology while continuing to use our own judgment, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. The opportunity is to learn how to incorporate AI strategically without losing the creative spark and human perspective that make strong marketing meaningful.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me are respect, integrity, and hard work. I believe these principles are important both professionally and personally, and they guide how I approach my relationships, responsibilities, and career.
